I am an almost 40 year old divorced mother of two boys, and embarrassingly enough a well pronounced cat and plant mom. I have spent most of my career in healthcare as a registered nurse, with recent completion of graduate school and now successful cardiac nurse practitioner. Throughout my life, I have transitioned from a foster child to a victim of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse to a generally well functioning, successful woman, and mother with layers of trauma just trying to get through this thing we called life the best way I know how.
See, throughout my life, the most valuable lesson I have learned is that I NEED GOD. My aspirations for Forgiveness, Faith, and Coffee is to take my morning coffee breaks with God and share this journey to help others who have experienced or are currently suffering from the same pain, depression, and trauma many of us do throughout our lives, but don’t want to talk about. My goal is to help you not only grow personally in loving yourself again, but also grow in your relationship with Christ to overcome the guaranteed trials and suffering that continue to occur in our lives daily. To help others find the eternal peace that is promised to all believers of Jesus Christ. And, to grow myself further in my own journey.
“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give peace to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.”
John 14:27 NLV
We Have a Choice
Every single day we have a choice. A choice to react abruptly or to respond appropriately. A choice to give up, or to be vulnerable and ask for help. A choice to live in bondage to our own self-sabotage and destruction, or a choice to relinquish control and allow God to comfort and guide us through life. Ultimately, a choice to overcome our past, and find purpose in our future.
Today I hope you choose to join me on this journey. A choice to embrace our stories and walk together learning to allow God to lead us towards a lifetime of freedom!
